Process features of oil refinery equipment:

1, Continuous alkali refining is a process that shortens the time of oil contacting with lye, reducing oil saponification with low consumption and high efficiency. This process is highly effective in achieving the desired results.

2, Decoloration is achieved by using the combined technology of premixed and steam mixing decoloring. This technology improves the efficiency of decolorization, saves clay dosage, and simplifies the operation. Moreover, it avoids oxygen coming into contact with hot oil in negative pressure to ensure product quality, inhibit the recovery of acid value, and reduce peroxide value.

3, Physical refining adopts new continuous deacidification and deodorization, suitable for vegetable oil with higher acid value and low content of colloid. This technology has been proven in actual production with marked characteristics such as strong deacidification ability, good decoloring effect, high refining rate, and high quality of oil product.

4, Multiple heat exchange is conducted in the process, which makes full use of the thermal system and effectively reduces steam consumption. The production process can be adjusted with flexible operation, high automatic degree, and environmental protection.

Oil refinery plants play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality cooking oil that meets the standards set by the state. The main process of oil refinery plants involves several stages, including degumming, dehydration, decoloration, deacidifying, deodorization, dewaxing, and degreasing.

1, Degumming is the process of removing glue-soluble impurities from the oil.
Edible oils with high phospholipid content tend to produce blisters, smoke, and odor when heated. Additionally, phospholipids oxidize at high temperatures, causing the oil to turn burnt-brown and affect the flavor of fried foods. To avoid these issues, degumming uses physics, chemistry, or physical chemistry methods to dissolve phospholipids and proteins in water and remove them from the oil.

2, Decoloration is another crucial stage in oil refinery plants.
Unrefined oil contains pigments such as chlorophyll and carotenoids that can affect the oil’s stability and appearance. These pigments can be removed using adsorbents.

3, Deacidification is the process of removing free fatty acids from the oil.
These acids can affect the stability and flavor of the oil. Alkaline can be added to neutralize free fatty acids in a process known as deacidification or alkali refining.

4, Deodorization is essential to remove inappropriate odor materials from the oil.
These materials mainly come from oil oxidation products. The most widely used and effective method for deodorization is vacuum vapor deodorization.

5, Dewaxing is a process used to remove wax from the oil.
Wax can lower the transparency and digestion and absorption of oil products, affecting their flavor and palatability. However, wax is an essential industrial raw material that can be used to make wax paper, waterproofing agents, luster agents, among others. Thus, dewaxing improves the quality and nutritional value of edible oil while also increasing its industrial utilization value.
